David Game College (DGHE), London, introduced short courses to help students and professionals build skills in Adobe software like Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. As part of a collaborative team, I played a key role in shaping the visual identity and art direction through research, ideation and presentations. I also proposed the tagline for the course ads, which was approved by the team, and worked closely on developing all copy throughout the project.
The challenge was to create a distinct identity that stood out while staying connected to DGHE’s branding and adaptable enough for future courses like life drawing or printmaking. We developed a bold, minimal aesthetic using red and white, with subtle design elements referencing Adobe software.
For typography, we chose 'Ease' for the headlines. Its clean, geometric shapes and slightly condensed form strike a balance between modern design trends and professionalism, making it ideal for the creative yet industry-focused target audience. Paired with 'Effra' for body copy, the typography felt cohesive and refined.
In addition to shaping the art direction and contributing to the copy, I created all video assets, including animated social media Reels and YouTube ads, which performed exceptionally well. Weekly digital campaigns and print materials, like posters and flyers, supported the launch.
The campaign successfully introduced the courses, with animated content driving engagement and contributing to enrolments. This project demonstrated the importance of collaboration, strategic experimentation, and thoughtful design choices in crafting a flexible and impactful visual identity.
